WHAT'S GOING ON WITH YOU AND BABY

This Is Your Brain on Baby

You did it. You brought life into this world. And as baby’s brain is making 1 million or more neural connections per second, your brain is also reshaping and reorganizing to make you more empathetic, more connected with baby, and more prepared to be the very best mom. But this is no small feat, and in order to feel like you again, your body needs the right nutrients to ensure complete recovery.

Most Bioavailable Nutrients
We source the highest quality vitamins, minerals and DHA in forms your body can make the most of
01 — Methylfolate
01—
Methylfolate

Adequate folate intake supports healthy fetal brain development. Folic acid is an artificial form of folate, and people vary greatly in their ability to convert it to the bioavailable forms, so we always use the most bioavailable form – 5-methyl-tetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF)*

Methylfolate
02 — Choline
02—
Choline

Choline aids in the production of key components of cell membranes and neurotransmitters involved in muscle control, memory, cognition, and cardiovascular regulation. Choline is also important for optimal fetal brain development.

Choline
03 — Inositol
03—
Inositol

Inositol assists in fat and sugar metabolism, neural cell function, and gene expression. Adequate supplementation has been shown to support fetal central nervous system development*

Inositol
04 — Vitamin D3
04—
Vitamin D3

Vitamin D supports bone growth and healthy immune function. Supplementing with vitamin D during pregnancy promotes healthy fetal development. It’s also been shown to enhance mental and psychomotor performance in infants*

Vitamin D3
05 — DHA
05—
DHA

DHA is an essential building block in the development of the membrane of every cell, as well as the development of the brain and eyes. DHA is especially important for supporting healthy fetal gestation and maternal metabolism*

Frequently Asked Questions

No, our vitamins are not vegan. Our DHA Softgel capsule is made from Bovine Gelatin and contains Fish Oil (anchovy, sardine, or mackerel). Besides our DHA, the other vitamin/mineral capsules are all vegetarian/vegan. If you are vegan/vegetarian and want to take our supplements, we recommend simply swapping our DHA with an Algea Omega.
Our vitamins are gluten free but not allergen-free. Our DHA Softgel capsule contains Fish Oil (anchovy, sardine, or mackerel). Our vitamins are free from milk, eggs, shellfish, wheat, gluten, peanuts, soy, and tree nuts.
Our vitamins are made from minerals and therefore can’t be organic.
Our prenatal provides customized nutrition specific to each trimester (12 of our 27 ingredient levels change by trimester) based on 350+ research studies showing that these optimal levels benefit maternal health and baby’s neurological development. Additionally, we have selected only the most bioavailable forms of each vitamin and mineral so your body absorbs the nutrients more effectively.
Yes, our prenatal contains 500 milligrams of DHA from fish oil.
We comply with the FDA's good manufacturing practices. However, FDA does not specially regulate prenatal vitamins.
Postnatal vitamins are important for recovery. Our fourth trimester/postnatal is designed to provide all the supplemental nutrients needed to allow your body to recover. We recommend taking our postnatal for up to 3 months after giving birth or as long as you continue to breastfeed. We always recommend consulting with your doctor.
Some forms of vitamins and minerals are absorbed better than others since they require less processing by the body. For example, folic acid is the artificial form of folate and does not exist in nature. It requires the body to convert the folic acid to methylfolate to become active. Instead, our vitamin contains methlyfolate, the active form, so your body can absorb the nutrients easier.
Do not take extra the next day. You can take a morning dose later in the day but we recommend keeping the morning and afternoon doses apart by several hours for best absorption. Supplements are designed for building a baseline. If you miss a dose, No problem! Just continue your regime as usual.
We’ve developed our prenatal to be a comprehensive multivitamin (with a DHA softgel) that will meet the nutritional needs of most American diets. In almost all cases this prenatal should replace a general multivitamin. Our formula is robust so please make sure our program is most appropriate for your needs by consulting with your physician.
Yes. The amounts in our prenatal are generally safe and within the Tolerable Upper Intake Limits established by the FDA. However, taking additional amounts of vitamins (especially fat-soluble vitamins including vitamins A, D, E, K) and minerals could be harmful. Before taking any other supplement along with our prenatal program, please review our label and consult with your physician.
Yes, our postnatal vitamin is designed to continue to provide the nutrients needed throughout breastfeeding. We recommend consulting with your physician as well to evaluate whether our program is most appropriate for your needs after giving birth.
We do not include folic acid in our prenatal, as it is an artificial form of folate, and people vary greatly in their ability to convert it to bioactive forms. Instead, we use 5-methyl-tetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF) to make sure you are getting everything you need, in the most bioavailable form, throughout each stage of your pregnancy. The FDA requires us to list our 5-MTHF inclusion/folate and then in parenthesis the amount of folic acid you would need to ingest to receive an equivalent amount of folate. With that being said, we always recommend consulting with your doctor to ensure this is the best prenatal for your needs.
